In order to give the astronomical community information on ISO, its payload and its scientific capabilities, a number of seminars have been organised to present ISO. Each will last about 3 hours and cover such subjects as: General introduction to IR astronomy, the ISO Spacecraft, the ISO scientific instruments and their performance, the proposal submission procedures and data products. Ample time will be available for discussion.
It is planned to give about 30 seminars in Europe and a few in the USA and Japan (see list below). Institutes have been chosen to give a geographical spread of seminars over the ESA member states. Astronomers interested in ISO who are not at one of the seminar institutes are invited to a convenient seminar. For more information, contact N.R. Trams at the ISO Science Operations Team, phone +31 1719 84434, email: NTRAMS at ISOSA6.ESTEC.ESA.NL.
