9.2 Caveats on this document  

The ISOPHOT Data Users Manual is a living document and sections have to be revised as soon as the calibration is improved and the software is upgraded. Due to the ongoing calibration research, sections in chapter 4 can become outdated or incomplete. In particular:

• the derivation of orbit dependent parameters is not discussed in detail. These parameters are implemented in OLP Version 7 and calibration files are available (cf. chapter 13).
• a description of the OLP Version 7 correction for signal losses in chopped mode is not provided. Despite the corrections the ISOPHOT team has not validated chopped mode observations. Investigations for a better correction method are ongoing.

In chapters 7 and 8 we have embedded a number of caveats on the software. These caveats were found in the process of writing this document - see caveats in chapter 7: section 7.4.2, and chapter 8: sections 8.4.2, 8.4.8, and 8.4.9. Due to incorrect software we also give a caveat on some data products, see section 12.4.6.

The descriptions of the header fields of the AOT products given in chapter 12 can still contain omissions and inconsistencies. Although it has been tried to be as complete as possible, not all combinations in observing mode, measurement sequences, and detector subsystem could be checked especially for the AAR products. A review of the header items is planned for a later version of the software. This could lead to changes in the structure of the FITS headers.
