A.) The observation template file has to be entered
by the observer by following the guide
given in the previous chapters. You may retrieve
this ASCII file from our ftp side on the ISO HOME page:
directory: ftp://ftp.iso.vilspa.esa.es/pub/isoweb/soft/pol/
name: polar.dat
Please contact us in case of problems. You may also wish to send
one up-dated entry file to Ralf Siebenmorgen
via helpdesk@iso.vilspa.esa.es,
so that the correct use of the
syntax by running the calibration up-link system is verified.
B.) You have to verify the syntax
of all individual observation template files, by
using a Fortran script.
The Fortran will check the syntax of an observing template file with name polar_check.dat
You may down-load the Fortran from
our ftp side on the ISO HOME page:
directory: ftp://ftp.iso.vilspa.esa.es/pub/isoweb/soft/pol/
name: polar_check.f
C.) You should verify the visibility of your target. This can be best done by using the tool available on the ISO HOME page (``html://isowww.estec.esa.nl''). Here you should consider that the mission planning group has complete the scheduling plans at least three weeks in advance. So that there is generally a time difference of order five weeks counted from the date we receive the final release note by the observer and the execution of the observations. For this reason we propose to check the target visibility for observing windows after March 1997.
