Unless special values of DRK are used, ISOCAM is set up in parallel configuration between subsequent concatenated observations (AOTs) in a concatenated chain of observations. In addition to any saturation risk which might be present, this can introduce unnecessary large changes in the flux falling on the array which could cause responsivity drifts during the subsequent measurement. The same flags described above can be used to prevent the onset of parallel configuration and get a better transition between the successive observations.
