Unreleased Observing Modes

At the time of releasing this Supplemental Call, there are still a number of ISO observing modes awaiting commissioning. These are the LWS Fabry-Pérot Wavelength Range Spectrum (LWS03), the ISOPHOT absolute photometry modes (PHT05 and PHT25), and all polarisation modes (``CAM05'', ``PHT50'' and ``PHT51''). Proposals to use these modes are allowed in response to this Call. Proposers should use the information given in the Observer's manuals and time estimators to make the best possible estimate of the necessary observing time. It is, however, emphasised that as these modes are not yet commissioned, neither their performance (e.g. the degree of polarisation detectable, observing times necessary) nor their eventual availability can be guaranteed.

Depending on the status of these modes at the time of OTAC's evaluation of the proposals, it may be necessary either to defer consideration of such proposals to a later date or to make a preliminary recommendation on times and priorities. In the latter case, the preliminary recommendations will be subject to review--and possible change--by OTAC once the modes are commissioned.
