Single Pointing Observations

 

The PHT reset intervals and the number of NDRs is organized as powers of two. The exposure time per individual observation (i. e. per polarizer, filter or aperture setting), which is composed of an integer number of reset intervals, must be a power of two in seconds. Furthermore, there are lower and upper limits for usable exposure time values per instrument configuration. These are listed in Tab. 5.

Note that the exposure time includes measurement times on reference positions for chopped measurements and that the minimum time values are shorter than those recommended for achieving high photometric accuracy (see Section 2.8).
